⬛ QRArchive

The Physical Data Vault

Your most important files — a will, deed, (not a seed phrase!), family archive — encoded into physical books of QR codes that survive when drives fail, clouds vanish, and the internet goes dark.

Three QRArchive shard books — navy, crimson, and green — each containing encrypted QR codes labeled Shard 1/3, 2/3, and 3/3

Split a file into 3 encrypted shards using Shamir's Secret Sharing. Give one book to each kid. Any 2 of 3 can reconstruct the original. No single book reveals anything on its own.

// How It Works

1
Upload any file. It's split into hundreds of small chunks and encoded as QR codes — entirely offline, on your device.
2
Optionally encrypt with Shamir's Secret Sharing — your file becomes 3 shards, each printed as its own book. No single shard is readable alone.
3
Print, bind, and distribute. Put books on shelves, in safes, with family. Paper lasts centuries. USB drives don't.
4
To recover, scan any 2 of 3 books with the scanner app. The file is reconstructed locally — no internet, no cloud, no trust required.
Part novelty. Part cypherpunk.
